Leah Remini

Leah Remini is an American actor. Prior to her acting fame, Remini dropped out of school at the age of 14 and worked as a cashier, bill collector, and waiter. Her first acting role was in the sitcom Head of the Class and she played Carla Tortelli's rebellious daughter Serafina on Cheers from 1991 to 1993. She is best known for playing Carrie Heffernan on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens. In 2010, Remini joined as a co-host for the daytime show The Talk. Remini had a highly publicized departure from the Church of Scientology in 2013. She later wrote about her experience in a memoir titled Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology and later worked on an A&E TV documentary series called Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath.
