NBC is an American broadcast TV network whose initials stand for "National Broadcasting Company." A subsidiary of NBCUniversal, the network is headquartered in Rockefeller Center in New York City and has major offices in Chicago and Burbank, California.
The network has been home to many of the most popular TV shows of all time. They include Friends, Law & Order, The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Seinfeld. Among the channel's top current programs are The Blacklist, Chicago Fire, Dateline NBC, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NBC Sunday Night Football, This Is Us, and The Voice.
The company also operates specialty divisions such as NBC News, NBC Sports, and NBC Entertainment. In addition, the network is known for its rainbow-colored peacock logo, inspiring the name of NBCUniversal's streaming service, Peacock, launched in 2020.
