Broadway
Broadway is the theatre capital of the United States and one of the biggest theatre destinations worldwide.
Broadway, the street that runs the length of Manhattan, has been synonymous with theatre since 1735 when the first theatre was built on the street. Broadway has also become closely associated with American musicals and musical theatre in general.
Today, Broadway typically refers to the theatre district of New York, which is made up of Broadway, as well as the side streets from Times Square to 53rd Street.
