HGTV is a pay television channel featuring reality TV shows about home makeovers, design, decorating, house flipping, and other real estate topics. Owned by Discovery, HGTV stands for "Home & Garden Television."
Hits over the years have included Fixer Upper (2013-2018), starring the lovable Chip and Joanna Gaines; Designers' Challenge (2001-2015), hosted by Chris Harris of The Bachelor; and the two-season Ellen's Design Challenge (2015-2016), with Ellen DeGeneres.
Many of the lifestyle network's top shows have had very long runs. They include Flip or Flop (2013), starring ex-spouses Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa; Property Brothers (2011), with twins Drew and Jonathan Scott; the longtime favorite Love It or List It (2008); and House Hunters, airing since 1999.
Other popular shows among HGTV's dozens of offerings are Celebrity IOU, Christina on the Coast, Good Bones, Home Town, House Hunters International, My Lottery Dream Home, and Renovation Island.
