Although Joe Rogan got his start in standup comedy, he's most known as a successful podcast and TV host. In 1994, the kickboxing enthusiast moved to LA to pursue comedy. Rogan was cast on the MTV comedy show Half-Hour Comedy Hour as well as NBC sitcom NewsRadio. By 2001, he became a color commentator for the UFC, forever linking his image to the MMA organization.
Rogan landed a gig hosting Fear Factor, where he completed seven seasons from 2001-06 and 2011-12. In 2009, he launched The Joe Rogan Experience, a podcast that SiriusXM acquired in 2011. By October 2015, Rogan's podcast had been downloaded 16 million times, leading to a $100 million licensing deal with Spotify in 2020.
