TLC is an American cable network that debuted in 1972. It originally offered educational TV shows — its initials stood for "The Learning Channel." But since the mid-'90s, the network that NASA launched has become known for reality TV series.
Under Discovery's ownership since 1991, TLC has churned out popular shows such as Forensic Files (1996-2011), Jon & Kate Plus 8 (2007-2009), Here Comes Honey Boo Boo (2012-2017), and My Strange Addiction (2010-2015).
But 90 Day Fiancé — about international couples in the U.S. on fiancé visas who have 90 days to get married — is arguably the network's most successful series, spawning over a dozen spinoffs since its 2014 premiere. Other top current shows are My 600-Lb Life, Sister Wives, 1,000-Lb Sisters, Dr. Pimple Popper, My Big Fat Fabulous Life, and Little People, Big World.
